An Initiative of Fukushima City

Fukushima City is aiming to become “Fukushima, a friendly city for all” by improving barrier-free services at public facilities, and promoting community engagement with seniors and people with disabilities by through the use of ‘Help Marks’ and ‘Help Cards’.

This is a unified effort between government and private sector to implement barrier-free solutions for facilities and personnel, to strengthen cooperation between national, prefectural, private business, and related organizations by uncovering the barrier-free needs of local citizens and visitors to the city.
